Lappeenranta Art Museum

Lappeenranta Art Museum has functioned since 1965 and it's located to Lappeenranta fortress. From the collections of the museum a visitor can find Finnish art from the mid 19th century to the present day. The biggest of the older art collections is Vyborg Friends of art registered association's collection which presents inter alia artists like Arvid Liljelund, Hjalmar Munsterhjelm, Pekka Halonen and Ilmari Aalto. The present day's art gives a special attention to South Karelian art. The museum presents also changing exhibitions during the year. Art museum offers art consultant services for organisations and inhabitants.
