Imatran Valtionhotelli

Experience the unique cultural landscape by the river Vuoksi and Imatrankoski rapids. The fantastic Scandic Imatran Valtionhotelli is a true architectural gem. Commissioned by the Senate and completed in 1903, the Jugend castle was built to accommodate tourists from St. Petersburg. Today, the castle designed by architect Usko Nyström is admired by guests from both Finland and abroad. The hotel is so different from the rest of the buildings in Imatra that it’s definitely worth a visit! One side of the hotel overlooks an impressive landscape with the Vuoksi river and green wilderness. Walk along the bank of the river or explore the Muinaissuoma nature trail featuring sights such as the Kruunupuisto potholes. On the other side, only a hundred metres from our hotel, you will find the best shops and culture of the Imatra city centre. The castle hotel also offers a luxurious spa, as well as a meeting a congress centre.
